The knife gains it's credentials in a number of ways. First of all there is the Case name. Tried, tested and perfected over 100 years, the company first put roots down in 1889 when they sold their knives in upstate New York. This legendary brand will delivery an all-inspiring knife like no other.
Then there is the jigged bone handle. Case use bone taken from the shin section of Brazilian Zebu cattle. This bone is extremely dense and provides excellent attributes for a long lasting knife handle. The bone is cut into slabs and the given the peachseed jigging during the production process before it is given the Amber color.
There is a polished Nickel Silver oval inlay shield set into it (featuring the script-style case logo), and then polished Nickel Silver bolsters clasp either end, completing the overall outer appearance.
The 3 7/8 inch knife (when closed) sports three blades. A Clip blade, Sheepsfoot blade and of course a Spey blade. All of which have been made using tru-sharp surgical stainless steel. They provide fantastic performance and are able to hold a sharp edge for long periods of time as well as fending off rust and corrosion.
