Case 5892 Item Description:Here is the Case 5892 natural bone trapper knife, working in conjunction with the great John Deere company. John Deere have continually expanded their services and creations through the ages, and in 1876 they got involved with the making of tractors, the first one was the Model A. This knife commemorates the model A and everything that goes with it, the history, heritage and unrivalled passion from its creators!
This Trapper knife can be used to trap small game and deal with them accordingly. You get a Clip blade and a Spey blade – both of which have been made from the same impeccably high standards that the Case company have imposed upon themselves, reiterating what it is that have made them one of the best knife manufacturers in the world – they have even sent some of their knives on missions into outer space, so they must be doing something right.
Both blades have been created using Tru-sharp surgical stainless steel, famed for its razor sharp edge, and its ability to retain that sharp edge, despite heavy use. The steel used can also fend off rust and corrosion helping to ensure that what you get is an unrivalled cut like no other.
The Clip blade features the John Deere brand name and Moline Illinois logo. Each of the blades has a handy fingernail groove that provides a place of traction for your fingers when opening the blades out for use. Case XX stamped.
The Trapper handle has been made from Natural smooth bone and given the Model A lettering and imagery. The bone handle is fixed using Brass pins and nails and then enclosed by two polished Nickel Silver bolsters. The pattern number for this great commemorative knife is 6254 SS. The knife measures 4 1/8 inches in length, when closed.
