Bear and Son knives is a family outfit based in Jacksonville, AL. They manufacture everything under the same roof at their factory. This includes everything from the manufacturing of the blanking dies, the heat treating of their steel blades, the grinding of the steel to deliver a sharp edge, and all of the assembly.
With in-house hand finishing this ensures that each of their knives is made to very fine tolerances and is silky smooth, tough and robust in operation and reliability. Not only that, their knives are also very affordable thanks to their in-house operation and skilled management team.
The BC113B has the Black epoxy powder coated handle that is slotted. Undo the catch at the rear of one handle and both of the fold out. You can close the catch on both handles again when they are open, locking them together during use. The slotted die cats metal design helps keep hands cool, drain away sweat and other fluids and even keep the weight down.
The blade is a high Carbon stainless steel blade with a nice sharp cutting plain edge to it. All together this is a nice rounded Balisong knife. For the price you cannot go wrong. It gives you what you want and performs well in all conditions.
