Here is the interesting 5553 Hawkbill knife from Ka-Bar. Part of the FIN collection, it's a Peter Janda design which is also a folding knife.
Hawkbill knives are good for peeling, pruning and skinning as they are able to grip what you are trying to cut into and then allow the cutting action to take place with a pull instead of a twist, making the forces less impactive upon your wrists. They are also handy in survival and rescue situations too.
The partially serrated blade is 2.75 inches in length and made from the popular AUS 8A grade stainless steel and stays locked open thanks to the frame lock mechanism included. It is also given a Black TIN coating to ensure it looks and performs at it's best and remains stealthful right up until the moment the attack happens.
It also incorporates a great thumb/finger hole to easily withdraw the blade without even needing to look at it – handy when your eyes are fixed on the prey or enemy, you simply let your hands do the work.
The handle is Black TIN coated steel, and is ergonomically designed as well as giving a good grip level. It even features a lanyard hole.
Overall this knife measures 6.875 inches long when open and comes complete with a pocket clip which can be work right handed or left handed, and the knife can also be carried tip up, or tip down – only you can decide.
