From the Case company comes this Walnut colored 6392 Barlow knife, representing the C. Platts knife manufacturing company. The Platts name was one of the Case company's early family brands, and is considered as part of their heritage, part of what made them into the company they are today.
This tear drop shaped Barlow knife commemorates all that case did back then. The handle is clad in a luxurious Walnut jigged bone handle, and features Brass pins and nails as well as the C. Platt's propeller.
A polished Nickel Silver bolster completes the handle section and offers you an exciting teaser as to what the blades are like. Well, once open, you can see there are two blades – a Clip blade, and a pen blade. They've been made from tru-sharp surgical stainless steel, and honed to a razor sharp edge so that cutting and slicing is an absolute breeze – should you even want to use it.
The Clip blade has the Platts company name and logo etched onto it, as well as a cut out to aid you with pulling the blade out for use. The pattern number for this knife is 62009 SS.
This wonderful knife pays pure tribute to the roots of the Case company. It measures 3 3./8 inches in length when the blades are closed, and weighs just 3.2ox. One fine knife to own and cherish. It still performs just as good as any other case knife, and reveals what perfection actually looks like.
