Steiner binoculars and optics have been thrilling and delighting their customers worldwide for more than 50 years. Their Predator lens coating that increases the contrast of animals against wooded backgrounds. Their mesmerising innovations have delighted many. They make rubber armoring, an integrated compass, and even a lens coating that protects the user from UV radiation. Despite the post-war obvious difficulties, this small one man German company started out in 1947 as Steiner Optik GmbH and was established by Karl Steiner. Just 6 short years later they employed more than 50 personnel and even when in 1973 Karl stepped down, his son Carl Steiner took the helm and drove it to even higher heights.
