Extrema knivesIf you fancy getting to grips with something Italian and meaningful then the Extrema Ratio knives will offer a refreshingly different view of knives and give you the chance to use a knife that is different from the mass of other manufactured knives in the western world. Extrema Ratio have been in existence since 1997, manufacturing high quality, precision combat knives from their premises in Prato, Italy. In 2004 they moved to larger premises so that they could meet with market demands for their products. They currently serve both the domestic and military markets and are in high demand. Each of their knives are 3D designed before prototypes are manufactured and refined through field testing. They utilise N690 Cobalt stainless steel for every one of their knives. This particular grade of steel comes from a small Austrian steel plant who normally deal with surgical instruments. They use a grip polymer called Forprene for the handles of the fixed blades, while the folders have a shell made using an anticorodal alloy.
