This is the Cold Steel 92SF Special Forces shovel.
With a design based on the original Spetsnaz shovel – a tried and tested design.
The soviet Spetznaz soldiers are renowned for being the best in their field – they are the equivalent to our Green Beret service men and women.
This shovel weighs 26.6oz – which gives enough weight to make it useful, unlike lightweight shoddy toys is around 19.75 inches in length.
The shovel's head and socket are forged from a rugged medium carbon steel which is heat treated to add strength. The handle is a traditional hardwood
The edge to the shovel is actually a sharp utility edge, so little effort is needed when using the shovel. It's also ready for re-sharpening for those who prefer a keener edge.
