The Cold Steel San Mai Recon Scout 37S is a combat knife with a difference. Unlike traditional ones, the blade on this knife is resistant to bending or breaking. The knife has a 7.5 inch broad clip point blade made from VG1 San Mai III stainless steel that has a slight concave false edge. Can you handle it?
The curve lets the blade be used in a draw cut and a chopping stroke. The extra curve that can be found near the tip provides plenty of belly for any emergency skinning or field dressing.
The knife has a deeply checkered black Kraton handle with an oval metal guard. The handle material helps you to always have a firm and solid grip of the knife at all times. This is very important if you have to be a a little heavy handed with it. It also features a black cordura sheath and lanyard hole that allows the knife to be attached to you, then hung up when not in use.
