Although these two knives are similar, it is pretty safe to say the 7080J has a more meaner look and feel about it. Features a 3.25” Crawford Marauder clip point blade, made from 8Cr13MoV premium stainless steel and polished finish. Has stainless steel liners that are really thick, which qualifies as a frame lock folder. The blade also has a scalloped top edge and dual ramped Crawford style thumb stud that lets the blade be opened. All you need to do is nudge either side of the thumb stud outward approximately 30 degrees, this then kicks the outburst mechanism and springs it into action, this then fully opens the blade. Also the 7080J can be opened with one hand, with no effort needed at all. The outburst assisted opening mechanism allows this to happen very fast, and efficient with no messing.
This beautifully jig bone handle really makes this knife stand out from the rest. When it comes to having a firm and tight grip this folder has a good-sized handle as well as the finger choils and some friction grooves on the spine that allow you to have a firmer grip when needed. This thick stainless steel frame is engine turned, or jeweled, as is the custom stainless steel clip.
