Case 6232 Peanut KnifeG10 HandleAs Ground Blades
From the Case manufacturing company comes this really rather special peanut knife, model number 6232. It is special in a number of ways. It has a G10 handle, “as ground” blades and proudly presents the Case company logo, showcasing what is yet another fantastic knife to come from Case.
Featuring two blades made using surgical stainless steel called Tru-sharp, there is a Spey blade as well as a clip blade. Each blade also has a fingernail groove cut into it which allows the user to withdraw the blade from the handle when required. Tang stamped Case XX.
The handle is really rather special. It is made in a much loved peanut style, and has two mirror polished nickel silver bolsters as well as polished brass pins and a polished shield. The handle material itself is a substance called G10. This is made from layers of cloth and fiberglass which have been compressed together and bound together with an epoxy-based resin which is then baked. This creates a really is wrong material which is rigid, tough and impervious to most chemicals.
The pattern number for this particular knife is 10207SS. It weighs just 1.2 ounces and measures a pocket hugging 2 7/8” when closed. This is one knife you won't want to put down. There is always something captivating about a Case knife and this knife is no different. One to enjoy.
