This fine looking knife and Marlin spike is the Myerchin MYA200, otherwise known as the Myerchin offshore system. It has a really pleasing Rosewood wooden handle and fixed blade that look like they were made for one another.
The sheepsfoot blade is a plain edged deep and meaningful blade that is full of power and poise. The blade has been made using 440C stainless steel and measures 3 ¾ inches. The overall length of this knife, including the handle is 8 ¼ inches. The blade is also stamped with a serial number and the Myerchin name.
The Rosewood handle is beautifully made and features a rear lanyard hole. Pinned using three rivets it also has generous finger choils to enable a secure and comfortable grip is achieved. During your grip you can also place your thumb along the notched thumb section cut into the top of the blade. This serves as a point for additional traction.
Also included is the Marlin spike. The spike measures 7 inches and again is made using stainless steel. Completing the item is a handy Black Nylon belt sheath where you can store both items. The Myerchin offshore MYA200 system is a superb product recommended by countless offshore workers.
